Week Of October 30

This week we will work on Chapter 4.  I anticipate a mid-chapter quiz on Tuesday and a "vocab" quiz on Friday.  The children have started off really well this 9- weeks!  Encourage them to stay caught up and keep up the good work!

week of October 22

This week we will begin Chapter 4.  I anticipate a "vocab" quiz late in the week --however, I realize that this is homecoming week and  things tend to change daily!  As we begin a new 9-weeks, encourage your student to stay caught-up!  I am looking forward to more time with these wonderful students!

Week of Sept 24th

This week we will have a quiz on Monday and on Thursday and a chapter 3 test on Friday. As usual, they will turn in the chapter 3 homework set on the day of the test.  Please continue to encourage your student to give us his best effort!

9/17/12

Monday we will take a practice test for Chapter two.  Tuesday we will have the chapter 2 test.  Also, on Tuesday their homework set for chapter 2 will be collected.  We will begin chapter 3 on Wednesday--most students are doing well but I encourage parents to check Edline frequently!

September 10

This week we will continue to tackle proofs involving segments and angles.  I anticipate a quiz late in the week--Thursday or Friday.  Please continue to urge your students to give us their best effort!

week of September 3, 2012

This week we will begin chapter 2 with a review of arithmetic properties and begin learning postulates.  This will lead into the great adventure of proofs!  I do not anticipate a test this week.  PLEASE emphasize to your student that they MUST memorize those definitions, postulates, theorems, etc that are assigned.

Parents and Students--how excited I am to be "home"!  I look forward to a wonderful year with these fantastic Geometry students.  Let me remind you, however, that lesson plans are living devices--inspite of our good intentions, they will change from day to day.
This week, we will finish chapter one and have our chapter test.  We will also have a vocabulary test and then we will spend a couple of days doing constructions.  Thank you for the opportunity to work with these wonderful children!
